Pull handle HAKO BIG BBS

The art of box making

In designing the Hako handle, Danish studio Steffensen & Würtz drew inspiration from the intricate Japanese craft of box making, known as hako-tsukuri, and the meticulous preparation that goes into it. As simple as it may seem, creating a flawless block of wood requires exceptional technical expertise, with every detail carefully honed, from polished edges to the seamless fit of parts and perfectly smooth surfaces. This quest for understated quality embodies the philosophy behind Hako, a handle that decorates by its very presence.
