Handle HINOKI WOOD BIG

The cherished Japanese cypress

Designer Alexis Vivet has combined the purity and aesthetic timelessness of the Hinoki Wood handle with the concepts of integrity and longevity that Japanese culture associates with the Hinoki cypress, a tree that has been cherished in this Asian country for generations. Crafted from a single piece of solid wood, this graceful handle pays homage to the balanced beauty of Eastern design. It is characterised by harmonious proportions, purposeful angles and a meticulously measured design. The gentle curve at each end is a distinctive feature, reminiscent of the wooden roofs of the temples in Nara, Japan, traditionally made from Hinoki wood.
